Day 19:

More tabletop fun...Today's lesson had us dealing with LLWAS. Essentially, local and ground are required to advise aircraft on their frequency of low level wind sheer alerts until it's posted on the ATIS. After 20 mins. the alert becomes invalid. The wind sheer alerts really didn't cause too much trouble.

However, the volume of traffic in the problem gave many students who ran local a run for their money. I think the problem had us running at around 60 ops. per hour. For our fifth day of tabletops that seemed very busy, but it wasn't beyond the scope of our abilities.

Tomorrow is the last day in the tabletop lab...Thank goodness.
